Reflections: Annual General Meeting 2024.

Dear Valued Friends of Mediation Services,

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your presence at our recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), which took place on June 20th 2024 at our Winnipeg office (302-1200 Portage Avenue).

Your participation is integral to the vibrancy of our organization and the community it serves. Everyone’s active involvement in the discussions and decision-making processes demonstrates the strength and dedication of our community. The insights shared and the connections renewed during our gathering will undoubtedly propel our organization forward in its mission to foster understanding and resolution.

Thanks for everyone who took the time to join us as we reflect on what was and plan for what will be.

Mediation Services Annual Report (2023-2024)

Here are some highlights:

• The Training Program experienced significant growth in its offered programming (online and in-person) as well as revenue (up 360% over lows during the Covid period) to continue expanding efforts sustainably.
• The Community Mediation Program has remained consistent over the last year and found greater cohesiveness, thanks to previous visioning work and streamlined file triaging.
• The Restorative Justice Court Diversion Program has seen both an increase in referrals and the success rate for which files reach an agreement (51%).
• Significant strides have been made to get the Family Resolution Program off the ground, including the establishment of a strong partnership with Manitoba’s Family Resolution Services to connect families with the right resources in a timely way.
• The Volunteer Program has expanded to now include 42 active volunteers.
• Mediation Services hosted the National Restorative Justice Symposium this year (November 20-21).
